K2
K2, also known as Spice or “synthetic marijuana,” is a dangerous designer drug made by spraying man-made chemicals onto shredded plant material. These chemicals are synthetic cannabinoids, often far more potent and unpredictable than natural cannabis.
Uses
K2 has no accepted medical uses. It is used recreationally, often marketed as a “safer” alternative to cannabis or disguised as potpourri to evade regulation, despite warnings that it’s “not for human consumption.”
Effects
K2 acts intensely on brain receptors, leading to unpredictable and severe effects including rapid heart rate, vomiting, agitation, paranoia, hallucinations, and psychosis. It can cause seizures, kidney damage, heart attacks, and even death. Long-term use may result in chronic cognitive impairment and severe withdrawal symptoms like anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation.
